Lionheart represents everything Laney has learned through over forty years of Laney tube heritage, distilled into a single amplifier range. Lionheart amplifiers are designed to provide the ultimate in British made, boutique tone. The evocative sound of power tubes being pushed to their sweet spot at volume levels that are controllable is a major feature. Featuring the purest of designs. The combination of EL84 loaded single ended Class A power stages and premium Celestion and Jensen speakers put this family of amplifiers a class apart from the rest.
CLASSIC BOUTIQUE TONE
The L20H offers 20 watts RMS of Parallel, Single-Ended, Class-A guitar tone is a great sized head.
The L20H features a smart, chrome finished control panel which houses the simple pre-amp Featuring a twin channel layout with independent volume for each channel, passive three band EQ, global tone and reverb.
With less of a emphasis on preamp distortion, with the L20H you can hear and feel the power tubes clipping to breakup, giving a much richer harmonic content and a larger dynamic range. Pushed really hard, the sonic punch and clarity of either the L20H is truly excellent and its when the amp is being used like this that you can really hear the differences in the speaker compliments you choose to partner with the L20H.
A PLAYERS TOUCH
You can also really feel and hear the differences in tone based on your picking technique. Pick harder and the amplifier breaks up more. Pick lighter and the tone cleans up.
This amplifier is extremely responsive to the volume control on your guitar. It is easy to roll the volume back to completely clean up the sound. The L20H really brings the best out of your guitar.
Strats sound sparkly and bell like, Teles bite and twang, and Les Pauls sing and sustain.
The L20Hs overall tone control can be used to great effect. For example, you could add more sparkle to a humbucker tone, or take off some of the high end from a biting single coil tone.
The L20H offers serious tone that is often difficult to find in amplifiers costing twice the price Features such as gold plated PCBs and jack sockets, sealed gold contact relays are used in all signal paths for minimum sound coloration, and each amplifier comes fitted with the renowned Type 4 large spring line reverb for the classic guitar reverb sound. Each Lionheart L20H features a hand stamped build number in the order they come off the Laney production line, and comes with a custom made Lionheart dust cover.
The ideal partner for the L20H is the Lionheart LT22 which is a Celestion G2H loaded 2 2 extension cabinet. The LT22 features a unique tilt mechanism enabling you to angle the speakers onstage. In order to secure the L20H onto an LT22 there is a dedicated fixing kit made available the LT-KIT.
