The Fender American Professional Deluxe ShawBucker Telecaster solidbody electric guitar has been crafted to give you the best design elements from classic vintage Tele Deluxes, along with the most popular modern features, in one gig-ready instrument. Tim Shaw designed the two ShawBucker humbucking pickups for a vintage voice that still offers plenty of punch. And Fender’s popular neck carve has been enhanced to a Deep-C profile that increases playing comfort. With all the elements that make Fender guitars legendary, the Fender American Professional Telecaster is a classic that will feel right at home in your hands.

Bold, vintage-voiced electronics

A great set of vintage Fender humbucking pickups should sound warm, perfectly reflect your playing dynamics, and be able to get gritty and aggressive when needed. Pickup guru Tim Shaw designed this set of ShawBucker humbuckers to do just that. But unlike vintage pickups, the ShawBuckers feature a touch more punch and are balanced across the two pickups. This means you’ll enjoy consistent output with all three pickup positions. And the onboard treble bleed circuit ensures your tone stays clear and present when lowering the guitar’s volume.

Custom Shop-influenced neck

The Deep-C neck profile that you’ll find on the Fender American Professional Deluxe ShawBucker Telecaster solidbody electric guitar is a slight upgrade from the Fender American neck players have been in love with for years. By adding a touch more roundness to the back, the Deep-C carve fills your hand perfectly while never inhibiting your technique. And your fingers will immediately notice how much control they have on the fretboard’s narrow-tall frets. This fret wire is the most requested size at the Fender Custom Shop, and for good reason.

SHAWBUCKER PICKUPS

Voiced specifically for their position, our redesigned ShawBucker open-coil humbucking pickups deliver highly dynamic, multi-dimensional tone while resisting electrical noise.

NEW “DEEP C” NECK PROFILE

Designed for comfort and speed, the new American Professional “Deep C” neck profile sports more substantial shoulders. The increased mass and altered geometry creates a more natural feel that’s perfect for chord and single-note playing alike.

NARROW-TALL FRETS

Narrow-tall frets are taller and narrower than their medium jumbo cousins, making them especially effective for bending notes and playing chords up the neck with perfect intonation.

VINTAGE-STYLE BRIDGE

This vintage-style strings-thru-body bridge sports six stamped steel saddles for accurate intonation and vintage-informed tone.

TREBLE-BLEED CIRCUIT

The treble-bleed circuit maintains the high end when turning down the volume knob to reduce gain, letting your tone shine through, no matter where the instrument’s volume is set.

 

BONE NUT

An original-era Fender design element, a bone nut contributes to superior tone and performance. Many players consider bone nuts to be more “organic” sounding.
