A book-matched top, double-locking tremolo and DiMarzio pickups.
With the SBMM Double Locking Tremolo and lock nut, zebra DiMarzio AXIS Humbuckers and 3-position selector with single volume control, this AX40D is a pure rock guitar. The top is a beautiful book-matched, quilted maple that is enhanced by a luxurious translucent finish with a matching painted headstock.

Furthering the relentless pursuit of tone, yet still maintaining an affordable price point, the AX40D is factory loaded with the very desirable Music Man proprietary DiMarzio AXIS pickups, which, until now have only been available in the Music Man AXIS guitars.
