Your gestures will generate a seamless response from your kit, for example when you touch the ride to mute the sound, or when you switch between head, rimshot and cross-sticks playing on the snare.

The game-changing VH-14D hi-hat pads offer touch sensitivity, tonal variation and open/closed resolution, to give a realistic finish to your groove. Roland also pays close attention to design: their multi-ply mesh heads provide natural stick resistance and rebound for an ultra-satisfying feel and response. Just like a real drum kit, you can tweak the tension to suit your preferences with a standard drum key.

You can also build your drum kit from scratch, customising everything from drumhead types to shell depths, and also place the drum kit in a space of your choice, setting reverberation, stereo width and much more.

The Roland TD-50KV2 is also ideal for home and studio recording, as it has 10 fully assignable outputs to send both a wet and dry signal to the house engineer. If you’re producing music on your computer, the TD-50KV2 also features 32 simultaneous channels of digital audio, plus MIDI over USB, for premium-quality transfer.
