Austrian Audio and UK distributor Sound Technology Ltd are pleased to announce immediate availability of the Austrian Audio OCR8 Bluetooth Dongle. The OCR8 is used to control the directional characteristics and pad switches of an OC818 microphone via Bluetooth from your smart mobile device.

The Austrian Audio OCR8 Bluetooth Remote Adapter provides wireless control of your OC818 microphone from your iOS or Android mobile device. It features a TA5F output connector that plugs directly into the back of the mic, allowing the OCR8 to function on the 48V phantom power supplied from your mic preamp through the OC818.

Once the device is synced between your mic and mobile device, you can switch polar pattern, pad, and high-pass filter settings in real-time. With the OCR8 you can create 255 polar patterns, save and recall settings, and visually monitor a 60-second clipping logger. This can all be done via Bluetooth from the free PolarPilot mobile app.
