Inspired by some of the revolutionary drum kits designed by Trixon in the late 1950s and early 1960s, the new Vox Telstar 2020 is a blast from the past in drum design and construction.

The original Trixon Speedfire kits featured an ellipsodial shaped shell, as well as the Trix Telstar which featured a conical shell. These drums were very popular in Europe with the iconic Jazz Drummers of the day, including Buddy Rich and Ringo Starr. Eventually, the Trixon Telstar became the Vox Fanjet, and the Trixon Speedfire became the Vox Telstar.

The VOX Telstar 2020 is a modern reimagining of these iconic kits from the 60s. One of the most interesting drum kits ever produced, it is now brought back to life with modern technology and produced under the supervision of SAKAE OSAKA HERITAGE.

Its characteristic oval head was conceived following a revolutionary concept: What if you could have two different sized kick drums in one? The kick drum’s character, pitch and harmonics will vary depending on where it’s hit, giving you more possibilities and flexibility as a player!

Its heads are made specially by REMO USA, legendary amongst drum head producers, assuring top-quality sound, quality, endurance, and availability.
